BUYERS GUIDE: Daihatsu Avanzato
Hmmm, the one i'm looking at has zero service history, was thinking i should walk away. The lad does claim small millage though, about 40000 miles. Might be worth a look anyway.
He also said it was hiss missus first car, so hopefully that might mean the turbo never got a chance to spool up.
I thought the L502 were all imports? and not 4WD?
If it isn't 4WD then you shouldnt have to worry about the gearbox too much. As steve said service history is important. As you dont have any the best you can get is to ask the chap how often its oil was changed and its up to you whether or not to believe him.
Out of interest, where are you and the car based?
good point L502 would be an import and poss just the R version,if you can give us a bit more info on the car, colour, location ,pics,or advert details, there is a possibilty one of us on here might know of the car,as they are so rare.
Based in Canada at the moment but heading home soon.
The fella says he believes it's a jap import, he's the second owner. He said he's changed the oil twice since he's had it and a few other bit's and bobs.
That's the one alright. Looks clean enough, hopefully go view it this coming weekend. Keep you lads updated if i go see it.
After remembering about the rx-7 wheels I got in touch with someone on RR with an RX-7 Gen 1 ... he assures me the centre of gen 1 rx-7 wheels is 59.5mm So these would need machining as well. I'm beginning to think there are no wheels that would easily fit the 'zato
Great little guide, I need to keep my eyes peeled for a Zato coming onto the market.
Re: alloys - 4x110, 66.6mm centre bore, what size (diameter/width) and offset are they as standard? I'm just wondering if a company like Compomotive ( www.comp.co.uk ) might be able to custom make some of their motorsport wheels for these requirements, since I believe they're all made to order anyway
