Looked at the lowering springs but without sounding daft, as the kei is quite tall the normal 35/40mm springs would bring it down to a normal car height if am not mistaken? Also normally when lowering a car i go for a sports shocker too as its always my luck that they are starting to get a little lazy. Please do let me know if that is right with the kei as ive only really had fords before. Thanks in advance
Thought about coilovers?
and this is also a must, trust me.
Jaime with at risk of sounding like a complete tool, the coilovers look awesome but they look like they are £500 plus the shipping and import duty of getting them over here that is almost what I paid for the car. also just looking at the other device you posted up, what would that do?
So after an oil change this happened:
It sounds ace... you can hear it dumping off albeit quietly.
Also knocked together an improvised catch tank for the breather pipe until I get a proper catch tank.
in other new its turbo timer time a little job for the weekend.
Also spoke to the local suzuki dealer randles and they can source the snapped abs ring and another key just awaiting confirmations of cost from Japan.
Will be swapping the JVC stereo at the weekend for my Pioneer and checking the condition of the speakers as one has started crackling and also look into the alpine speakers someone has wired in at the rear but don't appear to work.
Also found a full Suzuki sport bush kit for the cost of £85 which is great news as some of them are starting to show their age. so wanted to get them all swapped along with the abs ring ready for mot in several months time.
So discovered i need to find a couple of little bits nothing major an outer cv joint as the abs ring has split. A pair of rear wheel cylinders. Also tempted to fit a set of braided lines as the brake flexs are showing their age imo...
Also its immaculate underneath so after a clean and wire brush it was hit with the schultz
So cause ive had a lot on, I haven't been keeping the thread up to date,
This little lot came from japan too
The kei is now fully polybushed with the new kei car performance pads with delphi discs and app braided brake lines with a fluid change to the new fluid that has superseded racing blue dot 4. the brake are awesome.
The comical Brake pad box
It lowered on the back now with suzuki ignis sport (One of the standards had snapped) however the front isn't the same.
All the shiney parts have been fitted too apart from the dump valve
Also had drivers side painted where there was a key mark and had the boot sorted then managed to reverse it into a bloody lamp post cracked the lacquer on the bumper and dinted the freshly painted bootlid So now need the bonnet/bootlid backbumper and the passenger side painting as and when funds allow.
Excuses the shit tip this shows the carbon dipped dash and gear stick plastic along with the ignis sport door cards
Made a discovery that with slight modifications these beauties from an ignis sport fit too, need to modify the back bench to fit as the ignis sport is wider
Took the plunge and sent the rays wheel in for blasting and powdercoating in white, just waiting for them back this week, so been rocking the 3 spokes.
looking good mate, ive in the middle of trying to hunt down a ignis sport or kei as mis my old 5 door kei, check to see if the ignis sport boot will fit as the rear lights are exactly the same, failing that a 5 door normal ignis mite fit
