Greetings to all! My name is Mario and im from italy, im here to get some infos :)

I need a daily car! I cannot use my mom's atos anymore, and my 300zx TT is too expensive for daily use.
Searching on the internetz i fell in love with the subaru vivio, is small, cute, have a nice little supercharged engine and with only 600cc the taxes will be supereasy. And looks absurdly fun to drive.

Here we have only the base model, 4 doors NA with 32kw, so i thought to swap in it the supercharged engine and some aftermarket goodies, but here there is the problem.

I didnt find any forum, any fanclub, ANY aftermarket e-shop, ANY aftermarket or even spare part shop.
I only found this cool forum :) .

So maybe here there are some vivio lovers that can suggest me where to find some aftermarkets ? Otherwise i need to search for another car :(

Hiya mate.
Whats wrong with the standard GLi model :p ? Ive got two of 'em and love every minute. I also have a GX-R which is 3 door supercharged, and to be honest theres pretty much no difference in them. Vivio's run EN07 series engines which all produce their power from about 4000rpm upwards, the superchargers fitted on the jap spec models runs out of puff at 3500rpm! From driving both models I'd say the supercharger was really a sales gimmick to keep the vivio on par with the tr-xx and other turbo/supercharged kei's.
As for clubs etc. There are none except the singapore vivio club and bistrollers in japan :(
Now the bad bit. There are no aftermarket vivio parts outside of japan. Ive personally had a jap spec bumper imported and bonnet for one of my standard 4doors but the import costs are ridiculous. However, the vivio does share a surprising amount of parts with its big big brother, the impreza... and oddly the '97 honda civic :D
if you need specific parts I can probably help you out as mine is far from standard nowadays, but believe me. The standard NA cars are the most fun, especially if you get a switchable 2/4wd model!

The low power of the base model scare me a bit, on paper is slower then my mom's atos lol
The engine could be turbocharged? I really cant find anything about that engine, i'd like to have like 70-100cv... maybe using parts of the EA suzuki engine ?

For the aftermarket, im looking for the jap spec bumper, maybe coilovers/shock-spring, if they exist some strutbrace or swaybar and the dash with RPM tacho. I dont like too much how it appear the stock 5 door model, and i think here in italy there arent any 3 doors.

I could spend some bucks on it, on my country a law that super-taxes big displacement cars have passed today, so i have to sell my z32 :\

A curiosity, how is her fuel economy ?

Fuel economy on pretty much all vivio engine and gearbox setups is around 55mpg. Both my supercharged and Na do this around town. My yellow car has a cold air induction kit and decat exhaust so it can go down to about 10mpg when driven hard! :D sounds nice though

As for the power, if you change the exhaust back box to a sports pipe (I have used a centre silencer from a subaru impreza), it allows the engine to rev higher, and frees up a lot more power, mine keeps pace with citroen saxo vtr's. Obviously, with this power comes a lot of noise though!
With bumpers and the speedo, you can only get them in Japan, my front bumper was imported from Japan but cost me more than the whole car did! For suspension, coilovers are available in Japan, which work out at around £600/€. For a cheaper alternative, to lower and stiffen the car up, there is a kit on ebay for about £50/€ listed for Honda civic, which fit on standard vivio shock absorbers! I can send you some pictures of mine and a link to ebay if you're interested!

Note: rear bumpers from japanese vivio (wide back lights) DO fit on euro vivio (small back lights) but you need to modify the bottom of the lights or have a gap between the bumper and rear arch.
